William T. McLaughlin II, Esq. / Senior Trial Counsel


Mr. McLaughlin II is an attorney licensed to practice law in the State of California.  He has over 35 years of experience representing clients in complex litigation matters in state and federal courts, both at the trial and appellate levels. He is a dual-board certified in Civil Pretrial Practice and Civil Trial Advocacy by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, and has successfully tried more than 60 jury trials. 

Mr. McLaughlin II is a fierce advocate both in and out of the courtroom.  He provides substantial perspective and practical experience to the Firm.   He is rated AV Preeminent, the highest peer review rating available from Martindale-Hubbell. He has been voted a Northern California Super Lawyer 6 times (representing the top 5% of lawyers in Northern California). He is a former President of the San Joaquin Chapter of the Association of Business Trial Lawyers. In addition, Mr. McLaughlin has served as an adjunct professor at San Joaquin College of Law, and is frequently asked to speak at MCLE events on a variety of topics relating to insurance law, real estate, elder abuse law and litigation.


During his down time, Mr. McLaughlin keeps life simple by enjoying family time with his wife, three sons, and grandchildren.  He also appreciates a quality cup of coffee, a hearty homemade meal, and a classic novel with an epic protagonist and antagonist.
